Menu Cards

February 25, 2009

One of the things I wanted at the wedding was to serve our guests family style.  We were served this way at my Christmas party last year and it made for great conversation.  Check out our Italian menu courtesy of our amazing caterer - Pranzi!

I did these cards on my gocco and they will be at each place setting.

Photobooth

February 25, 2009

When I first started planning I read in a magazine about having a photobooth at the wedding and I was sold!  I love taking pictures and throught high school and college, I was the girl that had the camera and have all those crazy photo ops on film.

I will have vintage hats and other 20s era props for people to take into the booth.  The booth prints 2 strips of 4 pics in B&W, and I get a CD of all images after the wedding.  I will be working on a handmade guest book over the next couple of months where a copy of the session will be placed.  These envelopes I just printed on using my gocco will serve as the favor for the guests to take their copy home in (thanks to Tracey and Tana for inspiration with wording!).  So, pictures, favor, guest book in one!!!

PS - I will be using an online site for photobooth rental, as they are more affordable and have the double B&W strip capability that was important to me.

Vintage Find

February 25, 2009

So I knew I wanted to find a vintage purse and I have been searching Ebay for the right one with no luck.  I wanted something nice for the day of, but I also wanted to be able to use it again.  That ruled out most of the vintage white beaded purses out there.  I found this beauty in a vintage shop in Newport.  It is from the 30s and the fabric is to die for!  It is also a nice way to add some black in, since I didn’t end up with a dress that had a black sash.  This definately fits the theme, yet is modern enough to be used as evening bag for any event!

Trash to Treasure

February 25, 2009

What a find!  Another knottie had bought these toasting flutes but her accent color was gold rather than silver.   One man’s trash is another man’s treasure……

PS - I LOVE Kate Spade!!!

PPS - This is also how I got my Badgley Mishka shoes!
